Time Limiter is a Chrome extension designed to help users manage their time online by limiting access to selected websites and encouraging regular breaks through reminders.

What Information We Collect

Time Limiter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data.

The extension may use local Chrome APIs to store user preferences such as:

• Time limits
• Reminder settings

This data is stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage API and is not shared or transmitted anywhere.

Permissions and Usage

Time Limiter uses the following Chrome APIs for functionality:

• tabs: to detect when a user visits a tracked website
• storage: to save user settings and preferences
• alarms: to schedule break reminders
• idle: to detect if the user is away and skip unnecessary reminders
• notifications: to display time-limit and wellness alerts
• host_permissions: to monitor selected social media domains

These permissions are used only to provide core features. The extension does not read, modify, or log the contents of visited pages.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data. Time Limiter operates entirely on your local device and does not communicate with external servers.
